| Coaching
Working one on one, with families or small groups on a regular
basis, is a most effective way to learn and integrate new
values and behaviours including, communication methods and
action skills. Setting goals together, practicing, making
mistakes, debriefing and learning from the process are the
most powerful ways to execute change. We explore thoughts,
words and behaviours and develop skills and strategies such
as positive communication methods, emotional competence, mediation
methodology, compassionate listening, gender awareness, gender
communication and reconciliation and moral development.
Coaching agreements can be established on a weekly, fortnightly
or monthly basis. Phone coaching consultations are also available.
Coaching situations include:
1. Family-Communication Coaching: Families
learn to express their needs in ways other members can hear
and communicate in ways which focus on unity and avoid bickering.
Coaching over a sustained time period helps them create lasting
solutions to real family issues based on consensus, safety,
mutual respect and love.
2. Coaching individual men/boys or groups
in sustainable masculinity and the required partnership skills,
many of which centre around communication, emotional confidence
skills, mediation methodology, compassionate listening, gender
awareness, moral development, gender communication and gender
reconciliation. Regular coaching enables the development of
these values and skills which can proceed at a gradual pace
while goals and progress are evaluated.
3. Coaching small groups, such as groups
of families, couples or individuals in the skills necessary
to create partnerships with each other at home, in the workplace
and in the world.
4. Coaching for conferencing, mediation and communication
skills in schools, communities or the workplace.
Conflict exists period!
With proper skills conflict can be used to strengthen bonds
in families, communities and the workplace resulting in reduced
stress and increased safety, contentment and productivity.
5. Coaching for stress reduction draws on
my yoga, meditation and communication skills background. The
coaching helps individuals and groups establish regular yoga
practices to enhance health, lower susceptibility to stress.
The communication skills develop frames for reducing mental
stress and anguish caused by private and workplace relationship
issues.
